Kabobzi Mediterranean Grill has quickly earned a reputation as a gem in Austin’s vibrant culinary scene. Located at 2909 Guadalupe St, this Mediterranean eatery welcomes guests with a warm atmosphere and exceptional service. Many visitors rave about the generous portions and flavorful dishes. For instance, Eric Freudenburg praised the massive gyro and delicious Baba Ghanouj, complemented by fluffy pita bread. The menu showcases a variety of Mediterranean delights, including the perfectly presented Kafta and hummus, highlighted by Kesh Patel's glowing review. Diners particularly love the chicken shawarma and shish tawook platters, which provide an authentic taste of traditional Middle Eastern cuisine, echoing Marissa Resendez’s gratitude for a memorable pre-event meal. The appetizers, such as the fresh grilled Batenjani and the crispy Falafel, are crowd favorites, earning accolades for their freshness and flavor. As Fatima Mendoza pointed out, the Turkish coffee is not to be missed—but brace yourself for the intensely fragrant rice! Brett Rudolph sums it up well, calling Kabobzi the best Mediterranean restaurant in Austin. With attentive service and passionate owners, Kabobzi Mediterranean Grill stands out as a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Mediterranean fare. Each visit offers a chance to explore dishes that are as delightful as they are diverse.

My son and I stopped into Kabobzi mid-afternoon. It wasn't busy, as expected for mid-day. The waiter was very friendly. The food was amazing. I ordered a gyro, and it was massive. I also had the Baba Ghanouj. The puffy pita bread they gave us was fun and tasty. My 15-year-old son loved it as well. Would recommend.

What a surprise!! Fantastic Mediterranean Cafe. From the warm welcome to the warm pita and oil dip it was a great start. The Kafta and hummus dish was perfect. If anyone can make this dish and the way it was presented then everything at the restaurant would be amazing as well. The pictures speak for themselves. Timmy who served us was kind and attentive. Great job!!

Kabobzi was the perfect choice for a pre-event dinner, and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone—attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. We began with the hummus and fresh pita bread, creamy and perfectly seasoned, followed by the trio flatbread, each bite more delightful than the last. For our main courses, we had the chicken shawarma platter and the shish tawook platter, both bursting with authentic flavor and expertly prepared. Kabobzi truly captures the essence of traditional Middle Eastern cuisine. Already planning our next visit to explore more of their menu!

The first time I went I got a gyro platter (I think)and it was amazing!!! I got hummus and babaganoush on the sides. I also got the turkish coffee and it was nice and strong, not burnt just strong! The second time i ordered the chicken and gyro over rice and salad to go and it was tasty. They season the rice with cloves, so beware when you’re eating unless you’re cool with having your tongue go numb . The prices are fair and service is good. Parking is a bit small so if it’s busy go behind to 30th street and find some there.

Absolutely the best Mediterranean restaurant in Austin. Everything I've tried on the menu is delicious, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The service is second to none, the owners are very active in the restaurant. Our server, owner, always gives great recommendations and answers any questions we may have about the menu. I highly suggest anyone who loves Mediterranean food to eat here. You won't regret it.

Seriously good Mediterranean food found here! Got the baba ganoush for an appetizer. This came with pita bread and it was outstanding. For the main dish I got the chicken and gyro with hummus and rice. This plate was huge and delicious. I arrived a few minutes before closing and the staff still accommodated me and the service was great. Inside the decor was fresh, clean and well lit. Great place all around.
